3sixtymeetings and LGBT + in Malta
Last week Malta hosted Conferences and events for LGBT+ in Malta. 3sixtymeetings is here to give you a summary of what’s going to happen.
Little reminder, the LGBT+ community includes : lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. There are an estimated 23 million openly LGBT people in Europe.
The conference was hosted by the Malta Tourism Authority and ITB Berlin and featured international speakers such as the IGLTA. By hosting of Conferences and events for LGBT+ in Malta aims to prepare for the rising travel market and LGBT family travel, which is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the industry nowadays.
The conference included inputs on best practices in LGBT+ travel, latest trends in online marketing for this segment and the economic potential of LGBT+ tourism. In addition, they discussed all kinds of different topics such as the rights of the LGBT+ community in different countries in Europe and around the world.
Did you know that Malta was ranked first place in the International Lesbian-Gay Association’s Rainbow Europe’s league for LGBT rights by granting 91% of total rights in May this year?
